Zusammenfassung:Neural networks and virtual reality technology have a potentially strong linkage because of the need for adaptation driven by the complexity of inter human variability. This short paper describes two applications to illustrate this point. The first uses artificial neural networks to generate facial animation models for use in virtual reality telecommuting systems. The second uses virtual environments to view, manipulate, model, analyze, and move through complex data sets of insect brain tissue, as though actually in the experimental domain, to decode the interconnections of the circuitry.< >
