Zusammenfassung: | For a particular choice of substrate and conductor parameters, numerical results show that the horizontal magnetic dipole fields are almost everywhere less than 1% of the horizontal electric dipole fields at the same point, even at millimeter wavelengths. This observation supports the validity of the approximation in which the equivalent magnetic surface currents are neglected in integral equation formulations for microstrip antennas. However, a strong statement in this regard must be placed in abeyance until comparative results are available for a practical antenna analyzed with and without the magnetic surface currents taken into account.< > |
