Multiple loading of wire scatterers for multi-direction zero backscattering

Zusammenfassung: | The moment method is used to study multiply loaded wire systems with a view to effecting nulling of backscattering of waves incident from different directions, one at a time. Elimination of backscattering from a multiply loaded single wire and multiply loaded parallel wire system is considered. Loads are determined such that zero backscattering at a specified frequency is achieved for a plane wave incident from either of two specified directions on the wire or wire systems. It has been found that a large frequency-bandwidth is obtained, reaching 35 dB reduction of backscattering, keeping the loading determined at center frequency for zero backscattering unchanged.< > |
