Zusammenfassung: | The combination of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technique and a coding scheme is seen as a promising broadcasting system to cope with the frequency-selective and time-variant channel. The first application of this technique using a convolutional coding scheme has been implemented within the framework of the Eureka DAB (digital audio broadcasting) project. It is shown how to double the existing spectrum efficiency of the system with the association of trellis-coded modulation and an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing technique with the aim of offering the transmission capacity in a TV channel necessary for a high-quality video signal.< > |
