Zusammenfassung:The paper proposes for the first time a generic solution - open architecture - for intelligent vehicles that allow the harmonization of the increasing information flow provided by onboard functions to the driver. The so-called AIDE architecture tackles the problem in a holistic way, by handling in-vehicle information and advanced driver assistance systems, HMI I/O components and nomad devices through integrative and adaptive "management" functions. In parallel, a driver-vehicle-environment perception scheme is proposed that in real-time enables adaptivity features of the management functions. The proposed work is under the AIDE project; it is currently being implemented in demonstrator vehicles
