Zusammenfassung:For various applications in image, communications, signal processing, 2-D complementary orthogonal (CO) sequences with zero correlation zone (ZCZ) are widely investigated. In this paper, new lower bounds for 2-D CO sequences with ZCZ, based on matrix theory on rank, are derived and presented. As a direct application to our results, upper bounds on family size of 2-D mutually complementary orthogonal (MCO) codes defined by Luke (1985) are proposed. In Addition, a method for constructing 2-D ternary CO sequences with ZCZ is proposed
