Optimized traffic grooming as a way to mitigate the effect of chromatic dispersion in metro/regional WDM networks
We propose optimized traffic grooming to mitigate the effect of chromatic dispersion in WDM networks. We show an example where 34% network cost reduction is achieved in comparison to the use of dispersion compensating fibers.
