The increasing wireless communication capability of such devices makes it possible for them to interact with each other and implement more advanced storage functionality. This paper introduces OmniStore, a system which employs a unified data management approach that integrates portable and backend storage, but also exhibits self-organizing behavior through spontaneous device collaboration
