Zusammenfassung:An adaptive feedforward control for the Chylla-Haase polymerization reactor is presented in the framework of the two-degree-of-freedom control concept. In order to adapt the feedforward control to different batch conditions and various products, an extended Kalman filter is designed to estimate the reaction heat and the heat transfer coefficient during polymerization. Simulation results under model uncertainties show the effectiveness and accuracy of the adaptive feedforward control concept while maintaining the conventional feedback cascade control.
