Zusammenfassung:This paper represents the dynamic behavior of reactive power compensation for the Cheju-Hanam HVDC system. Due to changes in the Juju AC network form as it when the Cheju-Haenam HVDC system was built, the need to simulate the exiting reactive power compensation scheme is rising. In order to consider reactive power supply from new thermal power plants of Jeju AC network, a new-reactive compensation method for the stable operation of the HVDC system is proposed. The strength in Jeju AC network is simulated by PSS/E simulation program. Time domain simulation by PSCAD/EMTDC is used to verify the new reactive compensation method
