Pedestal-free, nearly exact optical-beat-to-soliton train conversion based on comb-like profiled fiber emulating 5/sup th/ order polynomial dispersion decreasing profile
We show that nearly exact beat-to-soliton conversion is possible in a compression fiber with a 5/sup th/ order polynomial dispersion decreasing profile, and generate an almost perfect 160-GHz soliton train through a 40-pair comb-like profiled fiber.
