Zusammenfassung:The transient behaviour of a straight wire buried in a lossy ground due to a transient plane wave is presented in the paper. A frequency domain model is based on the thin wire antenna theory and on the solution of the related Pocklington integral equation. The transient response of the buried wire is obtained by means of the inverse Fourier transform. Time domain energy measures involving spatial integration of the squared current and charge induced along the wires are used to analyze the obtained time domain waveform
