Zusammenfassung:Advances in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) have allowed the microfabrication of polymeric microparticles and the development of a novel class of controlled delivery devices. Multilayered asymmetric vehicles may be constructed with complex three-dimensional features which may provide the capacity to target cells, promote unidirectional controlled release, and enhance permeation across the intestinal epithelial barrier.
