Zusammenfassung:The authors present the results obtained from integrated services digital network (ISDN) basic rate interface (BRI) D-channel data users. Emphasis is given to the general data characteristics and the data services performance. The authors describe the D-channel data applications, the data collection setups, the ISDN data user characteristics, and the user data performance. The D-channel data service is flexible for various applications at or below 9.6 kb/s. The study shows that the data performance is acceptable for most data users' applications. All the results presented here were obtained from a single switch environment.< >
