Zusammenfassung:In this paper, we investigate the impact of manufacturing system design parameters on product quality. Specifically, for a manufacturing system with repair and rework, we derive analytical formulas of product quality as a function of repair capacity. We show that product quality can be improved by designing the repair and rework subsystem more effectively. To illustrate this property, an application study is presented.
