Zusammenfassung:The first experimental demonstration of the generation of a radially polarized optical beam mode by laser oscillation is reported. In the experiment, a new type of discharge tube having the optical windows perpendicular to the optic axis is used, and a newly designed conical mode selector is inserted in the optical resonator.
