Zusammenfassung: | This paper presents a physical model of power cables connected to nonlinear loads in naval shipboard power systems. Two models were developed, finite element (FE) and abc phase variable model. The terminal behavior of the cable was investigated by coupling the finite element cable's model and external eclectic circuit simulations. The approach uses time domain techniques and the finite element method. Such a model would allow an efficient representation of the cable under different operating conditions. The abc form of the cable's model is also built. The inductances are calculated by the energy/current (E/C) perturbation method. Simulations for both a full FE model and representative phase variable model were developed. The terminal behavior comparison of FE model and abc inductance model under nonlinear load condition is performed. The significance of this physical abc model is that it would enable fast dynamic simulations while preserving accuracy. |
