Zusammenfassung:The newest video coding standard H.264/AVC has achieved significant improvements by means of several new technical features, allowing for better adaptation to the underlying network. In this article we present an evaluation of user subjective quality for low bit rate video suitable for transmission over wireless systems. We compare the existing objective quality metrics, show their limitations regarding the mean opinion score (MOS) prediction, and discuss how to obtain a relevant metric according to the survey data.
