By controlling the waveguide structures, it is possible to access unique physical regimes. Some of these regimes include optical soliton dynamics, frequency conversion, from birefringent phase-matching to supercontinuum generation that can open new avenues in fiber based all-optical processing on ultrafast timescales. |
