42 W Nd:GdVO/sub 4/ bounce laser oscillator

A continuous-wave, diode-pumped Nd:GdVO/sup 4/ bounce laser oscillator produces 20 W of TEM/sub 00/ output (M/sup 2/< 1.05) from 40 W of diode pumping. 42 W multimode and 35 W of TEM/sub 00 /output from 80 W of diode pumping is also demonstrated.
