Zusammenfassung:We present an analytic model to describe the Polarization Dependent Gain (PDG) in fiber Raman amplifiers. We find simple analytical expressions that express the mean and the variance of PDG as a function of pump degree of polarization and polarization mode dispersion of the optical fiber for forward and backward pumping. Our results are in agreement with experiments previously reported.
