Experimental and modeling studies of the effects of shear stress on magnetization in nickel

In this paper, the responses of nickel to pure shear stresses were studied under various dc applied fields. A model description was developed as a generalization of the theory of magnetomechanical effect to shear stresses in order to aid interpretation of the experimental results.
