Zusammenfassung:A general modal solution for a rectangular guide partially filled with a slab of ferrite transversely magnetized and situated against one side wall is considered. The relative characteristic equation, which has been obtained in a previous work, is numerically solved for some typical cases and for modes of zero, first and second order with respect to the dependence along the direction of the dc magnetic field. The results are summarized in fifteen diagrams giving the propagation constant vs the ferrite slab thickness. From the preceding analysis it can be concluded that: 1) propagating modes of any order may exist; 2) modes of zero order are not always the lowest propagating modes, in the sense that higher order modes can propagate when zero order modes are attenuated; 3) cases can exist when all the unattenuated propagating modes travel in the same sense.
