Zusammenfassung:Self-assembled microcapsules allow for the encapsulation of fluorescent dyes capable of the detection of many biochemicals. The stability and detection range of these sensors might make them optimal for use in microgravitational environments. A microencapsulated fluorescent oxygen sensor was. developed for the detection of O/sub 2/ in fluidic and cultured systems. This sensor provides real-time response for differing O/sub 2/ concentration in a useable range.
