Zusammenfassung:Over the years, the world has rapidly developed in all aspects, such as social, cultural, economic, artistic, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been used in life, especially in the aspect of communication in everyday life. The development of a device and software that is integrated, will make it easier for deaf and hearing people to communicate effectively. However, currently, the development of sign language technology tends to use smart gloves, so this raises questions about the efficiency of using technology in sign language development. In addition, there arestill limitations in collecting sign language vocabulary data, so the use of the technology is not maximized. Based on the problems above, we offer two solutions, first, developing sign language technology using Artificial Intelligence (AI) which only uses a cellphone camera and records movements without hardware will be more effective and efficient. Second, the author offers a solution, like the setting of inputting sign vocabulary data using community participation in each region of the world. Thus, the sign language vocabulary will increase and the communication process can be performed optimally.
