Zusammenfassung: | In the cold rolling mills and coating lines a complete removal of humid film is required. A novel humidity sensor is proposed and tested at laboratory level. It employs new Long Wave Infrared (LWIR) cameras to measure the reflected IR radiation from the steel strip, determining the water covered surfaces. This initial study on this technology will use existing LWIR emitters. Some laboratory tests are presented, just to validate the thermal reflectometer approach. |
