Zusammenfassung:This paper presents a method of analysis of the leakage magnetic field caused by the stator and rotor end windings of a turbine generator under no load and under load conditions, using a bidimensional finite element program. Also, we report measurement methods and data processing techniques for the tests carried out on a 370 MVA turbine generator in order to confirm the above numerical analysis. The theoretical and experimental results, correlated to various machine operating conditions are compared. The dependence of the axial flux density on the end teeth of the stator in terms of the generator power factor is shown.
