Zusammenfassung: | Supercapacitors (SC) are becoming more and more popular in pulsed power supply (PS) for tokamak PS due to several advantages, including, but not limited to, high power density, high flexibility, and easy maintenance. In this article, a highly integrated power module (PM) based on SC is developed, which provides a more flexible method to build a PS system. Each PM is configured to be a complete PS of 129.6 V/2.2 kA with remote access. As the first application of this PM, 126 PMs are used to build the toroidal field PS (TFPS) of sino-UNIted spherical tokamak-2 (SUNIST-2), which provides a new solution of a 100 kA-class tokamak PS. SUNIST-2 is a spherical tokamak with an on-axis toroidal field (TF) up to 1 T, which requires TFPS to reach a maximum current of 110 kA. Design of the PM and TFPS and testing results are provided. The TFPS has already achieved 85 kA output, corresponding to 0.77 of rated 110 kA. |
