Zusammenfassung:This paper deals with the concept of radical innovation as applied to defense systems. The concept of radical systems innovation is defined. A framework for characterizing radical systems innovation and assessing opportunities is presented. Elements of this framework have been implemented in an Israeli defense organization. The paper concludes with the application of the framework to a specific example.
