Zusammenfassung: | The response of overhead power lines of finite length to lightning strokes to nearby ground is analyzed. It is shown that terminating a short line with its surge impedance would not necessarily represent longer lines in its response to nearby lightning strokes. Multiple reflections at the line terminals of a short line not terminated by its surge impedance are generated even for lightning strokes perpendicular to the line. Lightning strokes beyond the line near the line axis may generate high voltages of short risetime.< > |
