Impact of channel select filtering on W-CDMA signal properties
Channel select filtering is an important task in the design of a W-CDMA compliant receiver. The influence of filtering on the signal properties like the mean and maximum slew-rate, adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) and peak to average power ratio (PAR) has been studied. Zusammenfassung: | Channel select filtering is an important task in the design of a W-CDMA compliant receiver. The influence of filtering on the signal properties like the mean and maximum slew-rate, adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) and peak to average power ratio (PAR) has been studied. As channel select filtering in a direct conversion receiver is done by simply low-pass filtering the received signal, knowledge of these properties is important for the design of components succeeding the baseband filters (e.g. buffers and amplifiers). This work should provide the necessary knowledge to design these components with correct presumptions on the mandatory slew-rate. |
