Cloud technologies, data centres with virtualized or containerized network functions, are increasingly relevant for 5G implementation. Connectivity for both cloud and classical base stations are provided e. g. by IP and MPLS services, with flexibility, security, expandability, resiliency, network programmability and operability. Further latency critical applications like fronthaul are served by the TSN fronthaul profile.
