Zusammenfassung: | The pyogenic granuloma is a common tumour like growth of the oral cavity. It was originally thought to be caused by pyogenic organisms but it is now believed to be unrelated to infection. It represents an exuberant tissue response to local irritation and trauma. Despite its name, it is not a true granuloma. It arises most frequently on the gingiva, lips, tongue and buccal mucosa. Pyogenic granuloma of the palate is a rare occurrence. Here we report an unusual occurrence of pyogenic granuloma on the hard palate. |
