Zusammenfassung:A strongly internationalized scientific space promoting disciplinary and interdisciplinary exchange through the circulation of theories and methods, scientific knowledge, ideas and thinkers directs us to build a reflexion on thespace of translations. Such a reflexion gives us potentials to reflect on national spaces, limits of exchanges and social conditions of reception of a particular author and a particular work. International circulation of ideas is a privileged subject for Bourdieu as well. This article aims to illustrate the question with an empirical research about the translation of Bourdieu’s work, today in Turkey. In this study, as cultural products of the intellectual field, Pierre Bourdieu’s works in Turkish language which circulate in the space, publishing houses, translators and diverse mediators will be considered. The translation, which certainly does not explain the integrity of the fact of reception, is however an important component for the circulation of ideas in book format for the scientific space. Conditions of accessibility of bourdieusian work in the national space also depend on translations.
