Zusammenfassung: | The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors, Self-Esteem and the Perceived Social Support of individuals who engage in physical activity. The study sample included 189 female and 211 male participants exercising at least twice a week at different healthy lifestyle centers in İzmir. “Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale”, “Self-Esteem Scale” and “Healthy Lifestyle Behavior Scale II” were used to collect the related data. The data were examined by using description statistics, ANOVA and Pearson correlation analysis. Statistically significant relationships were found between the subscales of Self-Esteem, Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors and Perceived Social Support. Also, statistically significant differences were found in the scores of Health Responsibility, Physical Activity, Nutrition and Stress Management subscales among people with different durations of physical activity engagement. |
