Zusammenfassung:Nineteen microsatellite loci were isolated using an enrichment protocol from Aucoumea klaineana Pierre (Okoumé, Burseraceae), a tropical rainforest tree of Central Africa. Polymorphism was investigated using 56 trees distributed throughout Gabon (four trees from 14 populations). All loci were polymorphic, with the number of alleles ranging from two to 15. High levels of variation were found among loci, and observed heterozygosity ranged from 0.05 to 0.77. These loci will be useful for the in‐depth analysis of population structure and phylogeographical variation throughout the distribution range of Okoumé.
