Zusammenfassung: | Çemka Höyük, in the Upper Tigris Basin, has the potential to provide important information on PPNA and Late Epipaleolithic Period cultures in this region. The excavations to be carried out in the following years shed light not only on the Neolithization process of the region in question but also on broader interactions between regions. Çemka Höyük is a settlement that provides important information on many points such as the transition from the Late Epipaleolithic to the PPNA (especially hunter-gatherer semi-nomadic life) and the development of the Zarzian culture in the north, especially the Late Epipaleolithic Period. |
