However, to date it has not been widely commercialized to produce fossil replacements mainly due to its complex structure and purification hassle. Constant research is going on to discover ways to depolymerize lignin to produce various aromatic chemicals. This highlight review summarizes the key investigations carried out in the field of lignin valorization, purification and the valuable products generated from lignin. |
