LE SON DE LA VILLE D'HIER À AUJOURD'HUI

The city is an agglomeration that brings together people carrying out various activities. It is derived from the countryside, which developed in symbiosis with technology. Initially, the city was peaceful with pure sounds and became noisy with development progress. It has undergone sound mutations over time. Mainly lulled by the song of birds, the sound of branches caused by the wind, the sound of waves, the cry of animals, the city has become a mixture of sounds mixing pure and artificial sounds; the noise of the train, streetcar, industrial machine, and even different musical composition. The development of technology acting on the city has also acted on music and on the way of composing. All sounds can be considered musical compositions. The emancipation of sounds has favoured and conditioned the sound arts. This art allows listening, understanding, and knowing the psychoacoustic phenomena of our environment. This art uses hearing and also allows to see while listening. The institutionalization of sound art (Fryberger Annelies,2017) defines this art for us as introducing sound into music. It asks the composer to shed the solitary image of the composer and favour a collective mode of creation. Sound arts put in relation several arts, particularly music and the plastic arts (sound and visual). We will describe this art to explore all these fields of action and the new artistic perspectives that it can offer to a city. We will show how this art, through its artistic branches, allows us to understand a modern city and live in it. La ville est une agglomération qui rassemble à son sein, des personnes exerçants diverses activités. Elle est dérivée de la campagne qui s'est développée en symbiose avec la technologie. A l'origine, la ville était paisible avec des sons purs et est devenue bruyante avec le progrès du développement. Elle a subi des mutations sonores avec le temps. Principalement bercée par le chant des oiseaux, le bruit des branches causé par le vent, le son des vagues, le cri des animaux, la ville est devenue aujourd'hui un brassage de son mêlant son pur et son artificiel ; bruit de train, de tramway, de machine industrielle, et même de différente composition musicale. Le développement de la technologie agissant sur la ville a aussi agi sur la musique et sur la façon de composer. Toutes les sonorités peuvent être considérées comme composition musicale.
