Highlights • Implicit postural control strategies in hemodialysis patients were tested. • 28 older hemodialysis patients and 27 age-matched healthy controls were compared. • The participants were asked to maintain quiet stance on force platform. • Results confirmed the bounding limits of COP velocity as a true postural hallmark. • Findings have implications for examining the intradialytic exercise programs’ effects.
