metal transporter PgIREG1 from the hyperaccumulator Psychotria gabriellae is a candidate gene for nickel tolerance and accumulation

We used RNA-Seq to sequence the transcriptome of the nickel hyperaccumulator Psychotria gabriellae endemic from New Caledonia. Using these sequences, we identified the PgIREG1 transporter as a candidate gene for nickel hyperaccumulation.
