Zusammenfassung:Osmotic stresses, protein insertion or lipid oxidation lead to area increase of self-assembled lipid membranes. However, methods to measure membrane expansion are scarce. Challenged by recent progress on the control of phospholipid hydroperoxidation, we introduce a method to quantitatively evaluate membrane area increase based on the bio-adhesion of Giant Unilamellar Vesicles.
