Zusammenfassung: | We report on the observation of persistent holes in the excitation spectrum of a single monolayer, using the ionic dye resorufin adsorbed on an ammonium salt monolayer. We observed a slow temperature dependence similar to that of 3D glasses. The holes can be used as sensitive surface probes to detect the tiny change in dielectric constant consecutive to immersion in superfluid helium. |
