Effects of fluvalinate and amitraz on bee lice (Braula coeca Nitzsch) in honey bee (Apis mellifera) colonies in Yugoslavia

Braula coeca Nitzsch (Diptera, Braulidae) is killed in reasonably large numbers when honey bee colonies are exposed to fluvalinate in either aerosol or fumigant form. Similar treatment with amitraz do not appear to harm this dipteran commensal.
