Tunable resonators in the low kHz range for viscosity sensing

► Two resonating sensors. ► Both of them can be detuned in a range of over one decade ranging from 1kHz to over 10kHz approximately. ► Closed form model for both types of sensors ► Good response to viscosity. ► Comparison of both sensors and discussion of their benefits. ► New setups improving drast...

Zusammenfassung:► Two resonating sensors. ► Both of them can be detuned in a range of over one decade ranging from 1kHz to over 10kHz approximately. ► Closed form model for both types of sensors ► Good response to viscosity. ► Comparison of both sensors and discussion of their benefits. ► New setups improving drastically the sensor's stability. This contribution gives an overview of the design and development of miniaturized, tunable resonating viscosity sensors in the low kHz range incorporating first modeling approaches as well as experimental results. The effect of different designs, potential improvements in the setups as well as the effect of cross sensitivities are discussed and outlined.
