Zusammenfassung:Simple but effective: The intrusion/extrusion cycle of a nonwetting fluid in a hydrophobic solid can be described by simple models and simulation methods found useful for studying gas adsorption in nanoporous materials. The water confined to hydrophobic spaces of nanoscopic dimensions in the zeolite silicalite‐1 is shown to be a strongly depleted and highly inhomogeneous fluid (see picture).
