Zusammenfassung:In view of the fact that ion exchange experiments show that microcline and albite have the same ordered AlSi3O8 framework, it is desirable to switch the geometric setting into a new one by rotating it through 180° about the b* axis. This change of the setting requires that the indicatrix be switched. Correlation of the microcline indicatrix with the old and new settings is illustrated.
