The quantitative estimation of kaolinite by differential thermal analysis

"The effect of variations in the amount, particle size, and degree of crystallinity of kaolinite on the area and shape of the endothermic peak at about 600° C. in the differential thermal curve of this mineral has been investigated. An empirical relationship has been established between the slo...

Zusammenfassung:"The effect of variations in the amount, particle size, and degree of crystallinity of kaolinite on the area and shape of the endothermic peak at about 600° C. in the differential thermal curve of this mineral has been investigated. An empirical relationship has been established between the slope ratio of the peak and the ratio of the area to the width of the peak at half its amplitude and provides a method of quantitatively estimating kaolinite, regardless of its particle size distribution and degree of crystallinity."
