Zusammenfassung:This study aimed to analyze the reported cases of COVID-19 in patients with cancer comorbidity in Mato Grosso. A retrospective and descriptive epidemiological method was used, based on confirmed cases of COVID-19, between March 2020 and March 2022, in the State of Mato Grosso. The descriptive analysis of the data in simple and absolute frequencies was aided by the R software. A total of 727,943 cases of COVID-19 were reported, 0.17% of which had cancer comorbidity. Of these cases, the predominant ones were in the Baixada Cuiabana region (41.07%) and the profile was female (53.24%), age group 56-69 years (29.86%), brown race (52.20%), 0.03% hospitalized and clinical outcome recovered cases (72.78%). Cases of COVID-19 in cancer patients provide substantial insights into the interplay between these health conditions and the challenges they face. These cases highlight the vulnerability of individuals with cancer during the pandemic, due to the immunological suppression resulting from cancer and associated treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy, which increases the likelihood of serious complications resulting from COVID19. In addition, they highlight the need for preventive strategies and approaches specific to this population. Keywords: Neoplasms. COVID-19. Epidemiological Study. Collective Diseases.
