Level of Personality Functioning Scale--Self-report: Turkish Adaptation Study/Kisilik Islevsellik Duzeyi-Oz Bildirim Olcegi: Turkce Uyarlama Calismasi

Level of personality functioning reflects the severity of personality pathology. The Level of Personality Functioning Scale--Self-report (LPFS-SR) is designed to measure the global level of personality functioning, which is a criterion of the Alternative Model of Personality Disorders in Section III of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-5 (DSM-5; APA, 2013). The items of the scale and its four subcomponents are based on the categories and terms provided by DSM-5. The scale has been adapted to Turkish. Explanatory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed, and concurrent validity was tested using certain scales known to measure different personality-related variables. In this study, data were collected from a nonclinical sample, and the unidimensional nature of the scale mostly supported. It can be concluded that the Turkish form of the LPFS-SR has sufficient statistical support to measure the level of personality functioning, and further testing of the psychometric properties of the scale in clinical samples is supported. Olcegin maddeleri ve olcegin dort alt bileseni, KBAM'da yer alan kategori ve ifadelere dayanmaktadir. Bu calismada olcegin Turkce uyarlamasi yapildi. Acimlayici ve dogrulayici faktor analizi yapildi ve kisilik ile ilgili farkli degiskenleri hali hazirda olctugu bilinen olcekler ile es zamanli gecerlilik test edildi. Turkiye'de ve klinik olmayan orneklemden veri toplanarak yapilan bu uyarlama calismasinda da olcegin tek boyutlu dogasi cogunlukla desteklendi. KID-OBO'nun, kisilik islevsellik duzeyini olcmek icin yeterli istatistiksel destege sahip oldugu soylenebilir.
